prof. zw. dr hab. Andrzej Kaleta
Rector of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business

Professor Andrzej Kaleta was born in 1956 in Wroclaw. He is a 1979 graduate of the then Academy of Economics. He received his doctorate in 1988, his habilitation in 2000, and the title of professor of economic sciences in 2014 (monograph entitled “Implementation of PWE strategy”). Prof. Kaleta’s scientific and research interests were concentrated in three streams: small industry economics, industrial policy, competitive strategy and strategic management. His scientific output includes nearly 180 publications. It is a body of work of great theoretical, substantive, methodological, applied and inspirational value – it makes an original and valuable contribution to the development of management science. He is the organizer of periodic conferences entitled. “Strategic management in theory and practice”. He has received eleven doctorates. The professor was an advisor in the processes of strategic management in enterprises and municipalities in Lower Silesia, participated in the work of the Wrocław Development Office, and was an expert on priority technologies for the sustainable development of the Podkarpackie region.
